| Day 1 | Enjoy an early morning embarkation in the cosmopolitan port of Fremantle. Visit the ship’s barista and encounter the other delights of the magnificent True North during a short cruise to Garden Island. Here the True North’s much-loved agenda of multiple daily activities will swing into action. Dive & snorkel the intriguing waters of Carnac; entice delectable King George whiting or tussle with a pelagic in deeper water and all, should you desire, whilst taking advantage of on-location tutorial with highly-regarded photographers such as Christian Fletcher, Nick Rains, Tony Hewitt and others. But make sure you find some time for lunch – a visit to True North’s dining saloon is one of Australia’s most revered culinary experiences. And don’t miss the sunset tutorial either; before colourful cocktails adorn a brief evening cruise to the lee of Thompson Bay. Then spoil yourself yet again with another unique dining soiree. |
| Day 2 | Have you ever wanted to take that special photograph – an image that captures the imagination of all who behold! If you have, then you’ll be up early this morning to share the secrets of preserving the day’s first rays. After a sumptuous breakfast dive the stunning Cathedrals, snorkel the aquarium-like waters off Parker Point, troll for monsters behind the island and explore everywhere in-between with a master photographer as your personal guide. Back onboard our chefs will delight again, this time with freshly caught local fare. After lunch our photographic maestros will entertain with photo-shop and other post image technique and then, if you’ve never been before, or even if you have, venture ashore for a beer at the famous Quokka Arms. Or, perhaps a relaxing swim on one of Rottnest’s many picture-perfect beaches will be too hard to resist? At sunset, cloud and light will be optimum in a nearby bay for sure. Then return to the True North for a night to remember. Its party night and dinner will be served alfresco style before you kick your heels up like never before! |
| Day 3 | Another sunrise and another opportunity to inspire us all! Sleep-in if you must but then snap a portrait with a difference when we visit the Dyer Island seal colonies. Re-join the expedition boats as we discover beautiful Samon Bay – a chance to clear the head with a refreshing snorkel. Lunch will be very special today – your last opportunity to indulge in the True North’s famed cuisine. An afternoon visit to ‘The Basin’ is a must! This is Rottnest’s favourite swimming spot and it’s also the time of day when the area’s much regarded colours are at their very best. Bathurst Lighthouse also makes an impressive subject and there will be relaxed opportunity to explore the many surrounding bays. Then join us all in the ship’s lounge for a farewell drink and some photographic accolades as we savour a late afternoon cruise back to Fremantle. |
